Project information
The Procurement and Supplier Relation (PSR) in Equinor consist of 5 business units: Drilling, Well & Interventions (DWI), Subsea, Engineering & Construction (SEC), Operations (OP), Corporate Services (CS), Compliance, Improvements & Analyses (CIA) .
We are looking for skilled and motivated Contract Lead/Procurement Specialist within the following assignments and units: Drilling, Well and Intervention:
- 1 assignment within Drilling Well Services for the period 1st April until end of November 2025
- 1 assignment within Drilling Well Services for the period 1st June until end of April 2026
Corporate Services:
- 1 assignment within Business Services - Facility Management for the period 1st April and for 1 year
- 1 assignment within Business Services - People and Organisation for the period asap with a duration of 6 months with optional extensions Equipment, Maintenance and Modification Categories.
The team is global with a diverse set of contracts. Be prepared for both small and large tasks that in all ways will help you develop your commercial understanding. We are organized in a competence center, giving employees the opportunity to develop either a deep or broad competence within procurement and supplier relations while employed in PDP PSR.
Task and responsibilities
As a Contract Lead/Procurement Specialist in Equinor, you are responsible for Company’s procurement activities related to establish and manage agreements. Holds the mandate to legally commit the Company to suppliers. In the assignments within DWI your everyday work you will be part of a dedicated team and do a wide range of tasks, and here are some examples:
Manage and follow-up of contracts and frame agreements, including handling of variation orders, amendments, option assessments, negotiations etc. Contribute to ensure agreement understanding and compliance (training of contract users) Safeguard correct use of the contract Collaboration with internal partner/customers Collaboration with suppliers and internal partners, including D&W business line Ensure stakeholder management
Initiate and implement improvements In the assignment within CS you will together with the business line ensure the best commercial agreements by setting and realizing strategic directions and capitalize on market opportunities. Here you will take on strategic procurement responsibilities and challenging tasks, through:
LEAD CONTRACT ESTABLISHMENT: Lead enquiry processes (strategy, enquiry, evaluation, negotiation) Implement and operationalize new agreements Framework agreements, project specific contracts and call offs
MANAGE AGREEMENT: Shape the future global contract portfolio through segment strategies together with business line and suppliers Identify business cases and drive change in contract relationship to maximize value for company Ensure contract compliance, identify, and manage risk (SSU, commercial, financial, local requirements) Stakeholder management in relevant business line together with Company Representative (CR) and Contract Owner (CO) Contribute to correct and optimal use of agreements in collaboration with Company Representative, including supporting the business line
Competence requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or Law.

- Master + min 5 years working experience or Bachelor and 8 years working experience
- or
- Master + 8 years working experience or Bachelor and 12 years of working experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within contracting work.
- Good communication skills (written and oral), in English and/or Norwegian.
