Analytical Scientist

Introduction:
For our client the Analytical Development Department is seeking a new team member to join us during a temporary parental leave. The department plays a critical role in the development and life cycle management of diagnostic imaging products by developing, validating, and transferring analytical methods that directly support healthcare innovation.
About the Team :
We are a team of 18 scientists with deep expertise in analytical chemistry, including chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (NMR, FT-IR, UV, NIR), inorganic analysis (ICP-OES/MS), and a broad range of general analytical techniques. The team members have diverse educational backgrounds (BSc to PhD) and represent seven nationalities. While Norwegian is the spoken language at the site, English is the primary language for documentation and international collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Primary focus:
- Participate in analytical method life cycle management projects.
- Prepare method validation protocols and reports.
- Coordinate validation activities in quality control laboratories across international manufacturing sites.
Secondary focus:
- Support development projects through laboratory work.
- Perform testing for release and stability of products and substances.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods.
- Provide analytical input to process and product development teams.
- Write and update standard operating procedures and analytical methods.
Qualifications:
- Experience with one or more analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, FT-IR, UV, ICP-OES/MS, titration, pH, osmolality, or density.
- Experience in method development, validation, and documentation under GMP or ISO regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience from a GMP or ISO-accredited laboratory.
- Familiarity with software used in analytical instrumentation and data reporting.

Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in analytical chemistry or related field.
Planned start date and duration:
This is a temporary position to cover parental leave, with the potential for extension depending on future project activity and department needs.
