Automation / Senior Engineer
Take part in shaping advanced automation solutions for a major offshore development
Are you an experienced automation engineer with a passion for technology, system design, and multidisciplinary collaboration? We are looking for a skilled professional to join a high-profile FEED project involving new platform design, brownfield modifications, and several complex contractual interfaces.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the engineering and design of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS) in a technically challenging and forward-looking oil and gas project.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation system design for all project phases (pre-FEED, FEED, EPC), including philosophies, topologies, I/O budgeting, and network solutions
- SAS system design tasks assigned by the automation team lead
- Specification of overall SAS system architecture – including new systems, modifications, and contractual interfaces
- Planning and facilitation of internal meetings, client workshops, and technical reviews
- Coordination across disciplines and interfaces with suppliers, contractors, and the client
- Preparation and quality assurance of engineering documents and data registers
- Follow-up and participation in hardware and software design activities
- Offshore survey participation may be required
Required Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in automation, electrical engineering, or similar field
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of automation engineering experience in greenfield projects
- Minimum 6 years of experience with SAS system design, including automation network solutions
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards: NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC

- Effective communicator in English – both verbal and written
- Cooperative and team-oriented, with a positive attitude in multicultural environments
- Structured and quality-focused, with high loyalty to deadlines and project standards
- Proactive, with a willingness to share knowledge and seek advice when needed
- Able to work independently and take responsibility within the project scope

- Valid FSE certificate
- Valid Ex certificate
