Senior Engineer – Cyber Security & Network Engineering

Location: Asker, Norway
Contract Duration: 01/11/2025 – 31/12/2027
Project Scope: FEED leading into EPC – Offshore Oil & Gas (new platform design and brownfield adaptation)
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security & Network Engineer to take a leading role in a large-scale engineering project. The role involves working on both greenfield and brownfield scopes in an international, multidisciplinary team, delivering secure and robust industrial network solutions for a critical offshore project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the cyber security and network design activities throughout the project
- Ensure implementation of IEC 62443 in line with national regulations and client-specific requirements
- Specify technical requirements for suppliers and participate in early-stage selection processes
- Plan and participate in FAT and other test activities
- Develop and deliver engineering documentation (strategies, topologies, philosophies, etc.)
- Conduct and document relevant risk and vulnerability assessments
Required Education and Courses:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field
- Valid FSE course through the duration of engagement
- Valid EX course through the duration of engagement
Required Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience with real-time systems and mission-critical networks
- At least 4 years working specifically with cyber security in industrial systems or products
- Experience with IEC 62443 and related cybersecurity standards
- Background in EPC projects and preferably in the Oil & Gas sector
- Documented experience with risk assessment activities in industrial projects
Key Qualifications:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in English (Norwegian is an advantage)
