Sub-contract Manager
We are seeking an experienced Sub-Contract Manager to join a major offshore wind project!
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Sub-Contract Manager to join an exciting offshore wind project. This role involves strategic and proactive subcontract management to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and project timelines. You will report to the project’s Business Manager and the VP of Operations & Project Management within the Offshore Wind Team.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with international subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Identify and mitigate risks related to subcontractors, implementing proactive measures to avoid delays.
Establish processes for predictable deliveries and monitor progress against the project plan.
Ensure subcontractors comply with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including audits when necessary.
Track and report subcontractor performance to project stakeholders for transparency and informed decision-making.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontract amendments and variations (VO/VOR).
Conduct subcontract awareness sessions and training for project teams.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, analytical, and technical skills.
Proven ability to lead change and anchor subcontract ownership among stakeholders.
Experience in translating complex international subcontract types into practical solutions for diverse stakeholders.
Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in subcontract management for international projects.
Offshore or construction experience is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international legal frameworks (English common law or civil law).
Education:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent legal education (LL.B. or J.D.).

Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
