Senior Subsea Operations & Layout Engineer
Experienced Subsea Operations & Layout Engineer wanted for challenging subsea projects involving system integration, testing, installation support and interface management.
Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Subsea Operations & Layout Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on complex subsea delivery projects.
In this role, you will be involved in all project phases related to subsea system design, integration, testing and installation. You will play a key role in ensuring that subsea systems are designed for safe, efficient and practical testing and installation, while supporting system operability and functionality throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Follow up design activities in early project phases to ensure equipment is designed for testing and installation, including ROV accessibility requirements.
Perform layout reviews and ensure subsea system integration across disciplines.
Lead system testing activities and coordinate testing execution throughout the project.
Develop test programs and act as test lead when required.
Ensure testing equipment is properly specified and available.
Develop installation guidelines, mobilisation procedures and stack-up test procedures.
Perform ROV simulations and prepare ROV access reports.
Follow up tooling requirements and installation-related equipment.
Ensure alignment between design, installation philosophy and operational execution.
Manage technical interfaces with suppliers, customers and installation contractors.
Facilitate technical meetings and participate in risk and safety reviews.
Deliver engineering documentation related to layouts, interfaces, procedures and verification activities.
Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Subsea Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within subsea or offshore engineering.
Experience with subsea system testing, installation engineering or system integration.
Desired Experience:
Knowledge of subsea system design, layout and installation principles.
Experience with system testing methodologies and integration practices.
Understanding of ROV access, intervention and installation methods.
Familiarity with industry standards, procedures and safety requirements.
Strong mechanical engineering background.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and technical interfaces.
Familiarity with CREO, SAP and Teamcenter is considered an advantage.
