Our client are a leading service company in the oil, gas, and offshore wind industries, providing our customers with optimal and innovative solutions in engineering, construction, modifications, and maintenance throughout the entire project life cycle.
Due to increasing demand for their services, they are expanding the team and looking for a skilled Supply Chain professional to join our office in Bergen.
Role Overview:
As Procurement Logistics Responsible, you will work closely with Procurement and Construction to ensure smooth logistical operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Material Administration & Start-up Activities: Identify project logistics needs and establish the necessary strategies, including SAP configuration, procurement templates, warehouse coordination, subcontractor management, reporting routines, freight forwarding needs, customs handling, and transportation costs.
• Free Issue Materials Coordination: Ensure controlled handling of materials from delivery to utilization for their intended purpose.
• Transportation Management: Develop a responsibility matrix for material release and finalize agreements with freight forwarders.
• Material Availability Monitoring: Track material balances by type and task to maintain workflow according to plan.
• Project Closure: Conduct material reconciliation at the procurement package and project levels.
• Surplus Management: Identify and recommend surplus handling strategies, ensuring approval by relevant material owners (typically Customers or Project Managers).
• SAP Closing: Participate in project closure activities, clearing out logistic purchase orders, stock transfer orders, requisitions, stock balances, and reservations.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related fields (Relevant experience and commitment may compensate for formal education).
Required Qualifications:
• Strong commercial awareness, professionalism, and ability to work independently as a team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• A flexible, positive, and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Duration
Planned start date: 28.04.2025
Planned end date: 30.04.2027
Work location
Bergen, 5 days week
